It's another beautiful day here in the Nightmare Cottage, and the gals are...

Well, they're hot - temperature hot, mostly. Because it's summer, and neither recording spaces nor spooky haunted edifices in the woods are known for their air circulation or HVAC quality. Luckily, between "Code Orange" approaching full effect, big silly puppies who are doing their best impression of a chainsaw with legs, and allegedly "fat" nightmare kitties (I DEMAND A SECOND OPINION) on a treat hiatus - the girls have plenty to distract themselves with. Oh, and speaking of distractions - Today’s Topics!

Nym kicks us off with a look into Egypt's own Necronomicon - the horrifying "Book of the Dead"! ... Wait, you mean to tell me that it's NOT a necromantic tome?... It's not even a book?! Then what the hell is it? Nym's breakdown of the often misattributed funerary text also known as "The Book of Going Forth by Day” will answer this question, plus a few other ones about mummy stuff and Egyptian mythology along the way - Another win in the book for Edutainment!

Then, we boogie back with Nylene to the very eventful year of 1978, and learn that while the rest of the country was up to their collars in the height of the disco music craze, the town of Speedway Indiana was dealing with a certified Fast-Food Who-Done-it... well, kinda. I'm pretty sure by the end of her segment you'll have a pretty good idea who done it, but perhaps the real nightmare of discussion here is the terrors of "shoddy police work"... Again.

If that sounds like fun to you, why don'cha kick back inside under the nearest A/C vent and join us in spirit here at the Nightmare Cottage. And if it doesn’t sound like fun… Well, join us anyways and write it off on your taxes as a charitable deed or something, I dunno. Jeez, How did you even get here?
